I am Thomas Michael Larson, born April 25, 1960. I grew up in Brainerd, Minnesota. I played hockey and football and graduated high school in 1978. I went to a private college, Concordia, in Moorhead, Minnesota, for one year, then moved to Tempe and graduated from ASU in 1982. I returned to the north for law school and graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1985. It was so cold in the spring of ’85 that I graduated on May 20th, got married on May 25th, and drove to Arizona with my wife, Brenda, on May 26th. We lived in Tempe for a few months until I passed the bar in October of 1985. We moved to Casa Grande in November of 1985, where we’ve lived and practiced since. Brenda and I have raised two kids here in Casa Grande.
I began working as an associate with the firm of Cole & O’Neil in 1985 and worked for them and then Tom Cole only when Bill O’Neil became judge until 2003, at which time I opened my own office and have only worked for the IRS since.
My practice has me in court two or three days each week. I’ve been appointed as a Judge Pro Tem since roughly 2000, so I also fill in for the judges occasionally and have the power to perform marriage ceremonies.
Personally, I like to fish and spend time with our dogs in the outdoors. Brenda is a big hiker, so we spend a lot of our spare time traveling around Arizona, often in the Pinetop or Roosevelt Lake areas. Brenda is a big animal lover, so she is running a pet-sitting service. For your pet-sitting needs, go to CasaGrandePetSitting.com.
